Before teaching this module, please remind your children of the following information:

The food we eat can be split into FIVE main food groups:

  1. Fruit and vegetables
  2. Bread, cereals and potatoes
  3. Meat, fish & high protein alternatives
  4. Milk and dairy foods
  5. Fatty/sugary foods

There are no healthy or unhealthy foods, only healthy or unhealthy diets.

Therefore, a healthy diet means eating different types of food and eating them in the right proportions.
